And that is why, we hand out 8 Dental Awards at a grand awardshow at DFA. You can read more about the 8 awards below. 5 of them, you can nominate yourself for, the remaining 3 will be given by the patients. You can see what it takes to win and what the prize is, if you click on the individual award.
TEAM OF THE YEAR
Do you own a clinic and do you have the daily pleasure of having the best team at your clinic?
If that is the case, you can nominate your team and win the award Team of the Year. All you have to do is tell us why your team deserves to win. Whether you want to highlight the sense of community, the dedication, the treatment and service of your patients, the joy of going to work, loud birthday songs or something entirely different is up to you – we just really want to know so we can find the Team of the Year.
Prize: 5.000 DKK.
Documentation requirements: A written motivational application of no more than 750 words incl. a picture of the team.
WORKPLACE OF THE YEAR
Do you have the best workplace, where you are excited to go to work every day?
If that is the case, you can nominate your clinic and win the award Workplace of the Year! All you have to do is tell us why your workplace deserves to win. Whether you highlight the relations to your colleagues, your great boss, the relations to your patients, the amazing cake once a week or something entirely different is up to you – we just really want to know so we can find the Workplace of the Year.
Prize: 5.000 DKK.
Documentation requirements: A written motivated application of no more than 750 words incl. supporting pictures.
DENTAL TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR
Do you work with a dental technician who repeatedly delivers an amazing piece of work?
If that is the case, you can nominate him/her as the Dental Technician of the Year. All you have to do is tell us why your dental technician deserves to win. In the assessment, we will pay special attention to whether the dentist is:
- Academically skilled
- In possession of high-tech skills
- Quality conscious
- Uncompromising
- Detail oriented
- A team player
- Professional
- Skilled at his/her craft
Prize: 2,500 DKK.
Documentation requirements: A written motivated application of no more than 750 words incl. a picture of the dental technician and his/her work.
SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR
Do you know a company, a salesman or a consultant, who is always helpful and provides a great service?
If that is the case, you can nominate them for Supplier of the Year. All you have to do is tell us how your supplier has saved your day over and over: Was it when you were desperately missing a material, when your chair suddenly broke or when you needed a course that didn’t exist? We only want to know in order to find the Supplier of the Year.
Prize: 2.500 DKK.
Documentation requirements: A written motivated application of no more than 750 words incl. a picture of the supplier and/or their products.
THE BEST TREATMENT
Have you made a great treatment which has been or can be an inspiration to others?
Then you can nominate yourself and your team for the Best Treatment.
For: The dentist, the surgeon and the dental technician.
If a dentist or a surgeon participates alone, the dental technician should be named in the nomination – both the dentist or the surgeon as well as the dental technician will receive the award. If different clinics have participated in the operative and restorative phases of the treatment, all participants should be named in the nomination.
Prize: 5,000 DKK
Documentation requirements:
- A case description which includes a presentation of the patient, the diagnostics and the treatment plan incl. execution.
- A description of how the good communication has been ensured between the dentist and the dental technician.
- What considerations there have been in relation to the treatment.
- Reservations connected to the treatment.
- Specific demands/wishes from the patient.
- Before and after pictures.
- Relevant x-ray pictures to support the diagnostics and the treatment plan.
- Clinical pictures of the preliminary stages of the treatment (both surgical and restorative).

You can also encourage someone to nominate themselves by sending an invitation to awards@dentalfestival.dk – then we will contact the person in question and invite them to nominate themselves.

The panel of judges:
Dentist Regitze Blenner Præstegaard – Dentist and clinic-owner in Esbjerg
Dentist Michael Kristensen – Dentist 1998 from Aarhus Dental School, Aarhus University
Orthodontist Johan Corydon Knudsen – Special dentist in dental control
Dentist Kasper Busk – Private practice and referring dentist in endodontics in Roskilde since 2012
The panel of judges helps to designate both winner and runner- ups for the prestigious award ”The treatment of the Year”. The panel will also assist in the designation of ”The Dentist of the Year” in relation to if there are professional aspects to be considered.
The winners will be revealed at the award show Friday evening Mard 29th, held in Messe C!

AWARD SHOW
Come and celebrate yourself and each other!
Friday night, the mood will be set when everyone – attendees, exhibitioners as well as lecturers – gather for a gala dinner and the grand award show. We will begin with a delicious 4 course meal and wine ad libitum during the dinner before the bar opens for a larger selection of drinks.
When we have celebrated and honoured each other thoroughly, we will direct our attention to Festmaskinen who will fire up the dancefloor along with Infernal.
To put it shortly: It’s going to be the party of the year!
The price for the dinner and award show is 795,- DKK, incl. a 4 course menu and wine ad libitum during the dinner.
